Wiley Calvin Arrowood, 87, was born March 5, 1874 at Polo, and died Saturday Dec. 9, 1961. He had not been well for some time, and had been very ill the past several weeks.
He was the son of James Arrowood of Tennessee and Martha Hyder Arrowood.
He was married to Mollie Ann Hill at Richmond August 12, 1898. Mr. and Mrs. Arrowood have two sons, Roy and Floyd, both of San Antonio, Texas; both of whom arrived after their father's death.
Mr. Arrowood was a member of the Union Chruch.
He had served four years as Judge of Ray County Court, beginning in 1942.
Services were Tuesday afternoon at the Christian Union Church, near Lawson, with burial in Union cemetery. Rev. Wilbur Holman was the officiating minister. Music was by Mrs. Mina Hill and Mrs. Alva Denton. Jarman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Stephen Nolker, Alva Denton, Frank Adams, Bill Adams, Walter Nolker, and Jim Boswell.
