In 1906 Szisz earned his place in sports history when he won the first-ever Grand Prix motor event, riding a Renault AK 90 CV to victory at the French Grand Prix. He competed in three further races but failed to finish in any of them. After serving in the French Army during World War I, he worked in an aircraft factory until his retirement. (bio by: 380W)
