A widow's pension application from Warren Brantley's widow Mary Z. Brantley that says he "had measles while in the service, relapsed and from cold and exposure it settled on his lungs which caused comsumption (sic)." and "After the war he was under the constant treatment of a Physician but he was never able to do any thing and died from the disease on the 9th of September 1870."
T.B. was apparently the cause of his early death.
