Major League Baseball Player. He was a pitcher for thirteen seasons with the Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia Phillies, Brooklyn Dodgers, Cincinnati Reds, Boston Red Sox and Kansas City Athletics. He was a member of the 1950 National League Pennant winning Phillies team known as the "Whiz Kids". Meyer also played for the 1955 World Champion Dodgers pitching in five innings without giving up a run. His best season occured in 1949 when he won a season high 17 games. His career record is 94 wins and 73 loses with a 3.99 lifetime ERA. (bio by: C.S.)
