Funeral services for SP-4 Thomas Dean Jacobs, 21, Fort Richardson, Alaska, was at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Military' graveside rites were performed at St. Joseph's Cemetery by a Fort Riley honor guard.

Jacobs was born in Hays and also lived in Victoria, Plaineville, Stockton and Great Bend before moving back to Hays about three years ago.

Surviving are his wife, Marie, Anchorage; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph P. Jacobs, Hays; four brothers: Joe Jr., Hays John Great Bend; Jim, Wichita Robert, Hays; eight sisters Mrs. Tony (Jerry) Fiddler McPherson; Mrs. Glen (Mary) Martin, Yale, Okla., Mrs. Eddie (Caroline) Dreher, Plainville; Mrs. Gene (Betty) Axelson, Stockton; Mrs. Dave (Dolores) Ice, Davis, Calif.; Mrs. Richard (Janice) Fetterolf, San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. Dennis (Shirley) Terry, Las Vegas, Nev.; Norma Jean Jacobs, Newton.
