She also appeared in, "Out of Time" (1988), "Radio Days" (1987) and "Scenes from the Class Struggle in Beverly Hills" (1989). She was tragically shot to death by a deranged fan on the door step of her home. Her murderer, Robert John Bardo, was sentenced to life in prison and prompted the classification of stalking as a felony in California. The law has since provided recourse for such celebrities as Madonna, Jeri Ryan and David Letterman. Her boyfriend at the time was Brad Silberling, writer and director of the 2002 movie "Moonlight Mile," he based the film on his own experiences of her tragic death. (bio by: Butterfly)
