She was the last living member of Copeland Creek Community in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
In her 94 years she went from a child riding horseback to Facebook. She was a member of Rocky Grove Baptist Church.

Her parents; her loving husband; one sister: Lillie Parton Hamb; one brother: Eugene Parton; one grandson: Clayton Ball; one great-granddaughter: Maggie Lloyd; two daughters-in-law: Maggie Ball and Dean Ball; and one son-in-law: Don McCreary.

Funeral service held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 5, 2015 in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Swann and Rev. Clifford Ball officiating.
