Two and a half year old Abbey Mae Poag, died as the result of a drowning accident at her Lynden area home on Sunday, July 27.
Abbey was the daughter of Brian and Amy (Faber) Poag and was born in Bellingham on October 7, 2000. She attended Sonlight Community Christian Reformed Church with her family and ‘helped in the nursery'. She loved babies, singing, riding her bike, kitties, dressing up and hugging people. Abbey would end her prayers with, "I Love everybody and God Loves Me."
She is survived by her mother Amy Faber and special friend Shane VanDalen and father Brian Poag and special friend Tanya Hallberg all of Lynden; brothers Jake Poag and Truman and Taija VanDalen and sisters Kelsey and Madison Hallberg; grandparents Michael and Becky Poag of Lynchburg, TN., Sue and Ted King of Tampa, FL., and Ken and Nancy Faber of Lynden; great-grandmother Annie Mae Stevens of Lawrenceburg, TN. and numerous special aunts, uncles and cousins.
