Born Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1937, in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Robert LeFever and the late Rachael (Chilcote) LeFever.
She graduated from Boonsboro High School in 1955.
Dorothy was a member of Washington Square United Methodist Church.
She was a nurse's aide at Washington County Hospital, retiring in 1972, and was also a waitress at The Spot.
She is survived by her two daughters, Robbin K. Souders and Sharon Y. Pool, both of Hagerstown, Md.; son, Daniel E. Souders Jr. of Hagerstown, Md.; brother, Robert LeFever of Falling Waters, W.Va.; grandchildren, Scott Shawyer, Cody Souders, Aaron Barr, Kellie Barr and Missy Bartley; and great-grandchildren, Kane and Karson Pryor, Wyatt Bartley and Ashlynn Barr.
She was preceded in death by husband, Daniel E. Souders Sr.; sisters, Frances Cosens, Catherine Stottlemyer, Nancy Hearnlaye and Shirley Crumlich; and brothers, Charles, Harry, Nelson and Tommy LeFever.
Services will be Thursday, July 2, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, Md., with the Rev. Jerry L. Lowans officiating. Interment will be at Beaver Creek Cemetery, Hagerstown, Md.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 1, 2015, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Washington Square United Methodist Church, 538 Washington Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21740 or to a charity of one's choice.
