Helen was the daughter of the late Herbert and Beulah Moore Sallee. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, and was the widow of Earl R. Barnett, Jr.
Helen is survived by her son Michael Lynn Barnett of Mercer County, one sister Artie Sheperson of Harrodsburg. Jordan Young, Braden Young, and Kristin Roution were loved by Mrs. Barnett as though they were her own grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister Virginia Currens and three brothers: Joe David Sallee, William Sallee, and James Sallee.
