Alma Jean Thornton, age 82, of Dandridge, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015.
She was a member of Burchfield Memorial United Methodist Church.
There in Heaven, Alb will be joining her little boy, James Michael Thornton, husband, J. D. Thornton; her mom and dad, Nola and Ferd Derrick; special brother, Hal Derrick; and nephew, Barry Fox.
Alb is survived by her two daughters, Debbie (Ronnie) Landers and Penny (Mike) Dick; her two grandsons that were the love of her life, Andy “Gue” Landers and Kamen Dick; two sisters, Pauline Fox and Reva Thornton; sisters at heart, Ann Derrick and Betty Harrington; and many other family and friends whom she cherished.
Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Saturday, June 27, 2015 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Bill Cheetham officiating. Burial will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, June 28, 2015 in Burchfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm -7:00 pm Saturday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the service.
