Emma Jean Vandergriff, age 80, of Maryville, went home to be with her Lord & Savior, and her family on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at U.T. Medical Center.

Emma Jean was a beautiful and loving Wife, Mother, Sister, and a true Friend who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was a faithful and longtime member of Oak Street Baptist Church and Forrest Hill Baptist Church.

She was the daughter of the late Ray and Oma Keeble and preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Gray, Ruby Stewart, and Norma Henry; Son-in-law, Gary Tipton.

She is survived by her devoted husband and best friend of 63 years, Gene Vandergriff of Maryville, Daughters and Sons-in-law, Linda and Aaron Lambert of Maryville, Mary Tipton of Alcoa, and Terry and Harvey Owens of Goose Creek, SC; Grandchildren and spouses, Rev. David and Julia Lambert of Thomson, GA, Allen and Marissa Lambert of Maryville, Lee Tipton of Alcoa, and Kelly Tipton of Alcoa; Great Grandchildren, Troy Aaron Lambert, Abigail Grace Lambert, and Addison Jo Lambert; Brothers and Sisters-in-law, Ray and Bonnie Keeble of Greenback, and James and Phyllis Keeble of Friendsville; Sister and Brother-in-law, Joyce and Rev. Tom Compton of Pigeon Forge; Special and Dear Friends, Brenda and Lloyd Lawhon and Buddy and Lillian Lambert, and especially her dear church family at Forest Hill Baptist.

A Celebration of Emma Jean's Life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Gary Thomas and Rev. Wes Rankin officiating. Family and friends will assemble for the Interment in Grandview Cemetery at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 with Rev. David Lambert officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, Maryville, 983-1000,
