Kaye Murrell
(October 17, 1949 - June 20, 2015)

Kaye Murrell, 65, left this world to be with the Lord on June 20, 2015.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Maxine Duncan.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Murrell of Newport and her precious daughter, Nicole, brother, Bill Duncan and his wife Melanie, nephew Derrick Duncan, cousin (raised as a sister) Betty Harrington and husband Bruce, and several cousins. She also leaves behind extended family Bobby and Kim Clevenger and their children, McKinsey and Brandon, and Dana Bible who was a special caregiver.

She was also known as “Nanny Kaye” to many. Kaye was a member of Northport Baptist Church and was a volunteer for many years at Newport Medical Center. Special thanks to Dr. Thomas Conway and his staff; Smoky Mountain Home Health (especially nurse Ashley Weeks), Northport Baptist Church family, Archie Norman and family; Kris Brady and family, many special friends and prayer warriors, Madylyn and Matisse Bible. Also thanks to Brandi Caldwell, Lisa Large, and Lisa Allen for all they did.

Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Monday, June 22, 2015 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Archie Norman and Rev. Kris Brady officiating. Burial will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, June 23, 2015 in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm Monday, June 22, 2015 at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
