Kevin L. Cape was born on March 14, 1966, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. When he was in the 1st grade, he moved with his family to Blair, Nebraska, where he graduated from Blair High School in 1984.
After high school, he earned a degree from Southeast Community College in Milford, Nebraska. Then he began working for HDR, and was employed with them for 23 years.
Kevin enjoyed golf, going to classic car shows, and cheering on the Huskers. He was known to always make his friends and family laugh.
Kevin Cape, age 49, formerly of Blair, died June 15, 2015, at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Monday, June 22, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Services will be 10 am Tuesday at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Burial will be in the Malvern Cemetery in Malvern, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Wickersham, and grandparents Mahlon and Lorraine Wickersham, Wayne and Elaine Dugdale, and Rolla H. and Augusta Cape.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Cheryl Cape of Carter Lake, brother Tim Cape of Blair, nephews: Jared (Andrea) Cape and Cody Cape of Blair; nieces Grace Cape and Karley Cape of Blair, and stepfather Rollie (Shirley) Cape of Payson, Arizona.
