J. F. (Fred) Hutchinson, native of Ozark County and lifetime farmer of Douglas and Ozark counties, died early Saturday at the Anderson Hotel here at the age of 82 years, 3 months 20 days.
Mr. Hutchinson was born in Isabella, in Ozark County, son of John and Mary Paggett Hutchinson. He was united in marriage to Loma Ellison in 1896 and to this marriage six children were born. His wife and two sons preceded him in death.
Two sons and two daughters survive, Herbert of Paramount, Calif., Tan of Ava, Mrs. Goldia Pelham of Ft. Scott, Kan., and Mrs. Hazel Pulley of Springfield.
Other surviving relatives include two sisters, Mrs. Doshia Holliway of Stroud, Okla., and Mrs. Gertie Chandler, Oklahoma City; one brother, Virgil Hutchinson, Newport, Ark.; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at the Clinkenbeard Funeral Home Chapel here Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. Allen Ledbetter of Gainesville officiating. Burial was in the Isabella, Ozark County, cemetery following a second service at the Isabella Church. He was a member of the General Baptist Church.
