KINGSTON - Madeline Louise Evans, 75, of Main Street, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, in Exeter Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born July 13, 1927, in Kingston, the daughter of the late Morton E. and Helen A. (Page) Robie and was a lifelong resident of Kingston.
She was a 1945 graduate of Sanborn Seminary.
Mrs. Evans was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She attended Kingston Congregational Church.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Arthur W. Evans Jr. of Kingston; two sons and their wives, Arthur "Skip" Evans III and Carol Ann of Campton and Kevin S. and Julie Evans of Milan; one daughter and her husband, Kelly Ann and Victor Witham of Exeter; six grandchildren; one sister, Carolyn J. Robie of Kingston; three brothers, Loren Robie and Forrest Robie, both of Kingston, and Carroll G. Robie of Fremont; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Wesley M. Robie and Bernard E. Robie.
Calling hours will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Wendall Irvine officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
