Mary Evelyn Greene, age 76, passed away June 1, 2015.

She is reunited with her beloved parents, Eugene Waters, Sr. and Hazel Waters who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her only daughter, Stacie Greene and beloved grand-dog, Cooper.

The oldest of five children, she is also survived by brothers, Eugene (Gene) Waters, Jr. (Teresa), Dwight Waters (Connie); sisters, Margaret Fischer, and Shelia Maples (Joe) and many beloved nieces, great nieces and a nephew.

Evelyn grew up in Walland, TN and lived most of her life in Maryville. Most recently she made her home at Morning Pointe Assisted Living in Lenoir City. Evelyn shared fond memories of time spent on the Little River and frequent trips into the Smoky Mountains. She never met a stranger and was always quick with a smile. She loved her family, her friends, good food and fun.

Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2015 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Greg Boring officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2015 at West Millers Cove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment. Family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, Maryville, 983-1000.
