PROVIDENCE, RI - Andrew Clement Jones, 32, of Providence, Rhode Island, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2009.

Born in El Paso, Texas on February 21, 1977, he was the son of Peter and Elizabeth Jones, and is survived by both his parents; brother, Elliot; and sisters: Melissa, Katrina, Katya and Olga.

Andrew grew up around the country in places such as Wisconsin, Alabama, Indiana and graduated from Shepherd Hill Regional High School in Dudley, Massachusetts in 1995. He lived briefly in San Diego, California and has resided in Providence for 8 years.

Andrew was an avid skateboarder, snowboarder and a passionate musician, as well as an exceptional writer. He was a lead vocalist for the bands Split (who opened for Busta Rhymes at the Palladium) and then later for Skin, who played locally and recorded a few CD's. Andrew also spent some years writing for critics' columns in Pulse magazine and other Worcester publications reviewing local and international bands playing in the area. He most recently worked on the technical/product support team for Numark, a leading manufacturer of DJ and audio equipment, and was proud to be a part of their company and industry.

Andrew will always be remembered for his hilariously sharp wit, passion, and wonderful creativity. He was loved by his family and friends as a truly unique person, who existed in a "genre" that was all his own. Andrew left us far too soon, and will be cherished and missed forever.

A memorial service will be celebrated at the A. Tarro & Sons Funeral Home at 425 Broadway, Providence, Rhode Island, 02909 on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at 2:00 pm.
