Carol Ann Foster, 58, of Austin, Minnesota, died on Monday, May 18, 2015, at Comforcare Good Samaritan Society in Austin after a very brief battle with ocular melanoma of the liver.

Carol was born on Jan. 8, 1957, at St. Olaf Hospital in Austin to Victor and Angela (Kloeckner) Jensen. She attended Sacred Heart School in Adams, Minnesota, and graduated from Southland High School. After graduation, she attended Riverland Community College in Austin. Carol married Lowell Foster on Aug. 21, 1982, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams. Carol was a bookkeeper for Kestner Electric.

Carol enjoyed caring for her flowers in her backyard flowerbeds, gardening, reading, shopping, and spending time with family, friends and Walter (Kelly and Garrett’s black lab). She was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Angela Jensen.

Carol is survived by her husband of 32 years, Lowell Foster, Austin, Minnesota; daughters and sons-in-law: Kristen and Luke Green, Sartell, Minnesota, and Kelly and Garrett Erstad, Austin, Minnesota; brother and sister-in-law Gene and Judy Kloeckner, Scottsdale, Arizona; mother-in-law Ann Foster, Clark, South Dakota; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Craig and LuJean Foster, Keller, Texas; sister-in-law Marcia Huettl, Bloomington, Minnesota; aunts and uncle: Julaine and Lud Wencl, Owatonna, Minnesota, and Elaine Kloeckner, Adams, Minnesota; cousins, nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Father Marty Schaefer officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Friday morning for one hour before the service.

Memorials are preferred to the Hormel Institute, Austin, Minnesota, the Mayo Foundation for melanoma cancer research, Rochester, Minnesota, or the Mower County Humane Society, Austin, Minnesota.
