His marriage to Florence GLINECKI took place on November 18, 1944 at St. Adalbert Catholic church in Rosholt. After their marriage the couple settled on the Gagas Homestead, where Walter farmed most of his life.
Walter enjoyed mostly spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and Polka music.
Walter received his wings on Father's Day. His 2 grandchildren and great grandchild came down the golden stairs and took his hand and led him up to the golden gates of heaven.
