Derrell Gene Barnett, 69, of Salina, passed away on Thursday May 14, 2015 in Pryor.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Derrell was born on February 8, 1946 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Exie and Gladys (Scott) Barnett.
He grew up in Fox, Oklahoma graduating from Fox High School.
He and Kathryn Pines were married on April 20, 1972 in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Derrell worked for the Union Hill Water District in Redmond, Washington as a Water and Waste Water Operations worker. He was retired and had recently moved to Salina.
Derrell enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, photography and spending time with his kids and grandkids.
He is survived by his wife Kathryn of Salina; 2 sons Terry Gordon of Texas and Shannon Barnett and wife Larrysa of Tulsa; 1 daughter Brandy Barnett and Significant Other Charity;
6 grandkids, Shane Barnett of Salina, Alex Barnett of Salina,Casandra Bearden of Claremore, Keisha Boswell of Tulsa, Brittany Barnett of Tulsa and Michael Barnett of Tulsa;
2 great grandkids, Patrick Barnett of Claremore and Abella Malone of Tulsa; 1 sister, Virginia Dorson of Lone Grove and 1 brother-in-law, Charles Smart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Danny Barnett and Exie Barnett Jr. and 1 sister, Barbara Smart.
