Sandra Kay Rathbone Baker, age 61, of Newport, passed way Monday, May 11, 2015, at her home.
She was employed by Parks Dry Cleaners for the last 22 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fate and Bertha Rathbone; brother, Raymond Rathbone; sister, Virginia Gowan; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Randolph “Coon” and Evelyn Baker; sister-in-law, Evelyn Marshall; brothers-in-law, Randy Baker, Terry Baker, Slim Gowan and Web Wheatley.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Lynn Baker, (they were married 44 years May 8, 2015); daughter, Jennifer Lynn Baker Dunn (Terry) of Cookeville, TN; stepson, Brian Keith McMahan of Parrottsville; granddaughter, Erin Olivia Dunn of Cookeville, TN; sisters, Maxine Wheatley, of Sylvia, NC, Octavia (Edgar) Cutshaw, of Bean Station, TN; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Darrell and Katie Baker; brother-in-law, Ronnie Baker; special niece, Evangeline McGaha and many other nieces, nephews and special friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Manes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, May 13, 2015 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Bill Murr and Rev. Von Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Donnie Daniels, Randy Evans, Ben Hicks, Brian McMahan, Gary Parks and Ronnie Baker.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Mission of Hope, P. O. Box 51824, Knoxville, TN 37950, (865-584-7571). This is a ministry that blesses children in rural Appalacia w/ Christmas presents each year.
