Viola Eveline Roe, daughter of Jessie Glenn and Jessie Edith (Smith) Curtis, was born October 8, 1915 in Lucas County, Iowa. She passed away June 29, 2007 at the Osceola Nursing and Rehab Center in Osceola, Iowa at the age of 91 years.
Viola grew up in Lucas County where she attended country school. She was united in marriage to John Martin Roe on January 31, 1933 in Chariton, Iowa and four daughters blessed this union, Alice, Peggy, Lois and Freda.
Viola and John moved from Lucas County to Osceola in 1950. Viola had worked for Younts Paints and J.C. Penney in Osceola. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Norwood and Osceola. She enjoyed embroidery being outside and time with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John; daughters, Alice Redman and Peggy Chew; brothers, Keith, Kenneth and Bernard Curtis; brothers-in-law, Mike, Virgil and Bernard Roe.
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Lois Adamson and husband Gerald "Shorty" and Freda Gordon and husband Meryle all of Osceola; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Lucille Roe, Lesta Roe and Margaret Curtis; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
