| Birth: | Aug. 25, 1929 | | Death: | Jun. 8, 2005 |  Rockabilly Musician. A native of Brooklyn, New York, he was born Joseph Paul Katzberg. A talented banjo and guitar player he was the lead singer of the musical group, 'Jody Gibson & The Muleskinners. He is best known for his recording of the song, 'Muleskinner Blues,' and 'Good Morning Captain.' The single 'Good Morning Captain' sold more than 500,000 copies, following it's release. He was inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame. A veteran of both the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, he served as a Technical Sergeant in the United States Air Force. After his death, at the age of 75, he was buried with full military honours under his birthname. (bio by: K)
