Muriel E. Dunn, 88, of Hooker died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000 at Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon.

Muriel Elizabeth Krieger was born Nov. 11, 1911 near Hooker, the daughter of Bert and Lena Maude Arters Krieger. She lived in Hooker all her life, except the last year when she made her home at Dunaway Manor in Guymon.

On July 16, 1926, she was united in marriage to Alva R. Dunn in Liberal, Kansas. He passed away Jan. 14, 1963.

Homemaking was what Muriel loved to do and her love for her home and her family was very special. She did lots of hand work and crafts for each of her children always starting Christmas early to make her gifts to make the season fun. She will be missed very much.

Survivors include her son, three daughters, her adopted children, 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren; as well as one brother.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two daughters, Loretta Dunn and Betty Bledsoe; one sister, Hazel Hamby; four brothers, Roy, George, Mike and Charles Krieger; granddaughter, Brenda Jean Bledsoe and great granddaughter, Krista Burges.

Graveside services were held Friday, Oct. 13 at the Hooker Cemetery with John Maynard officiating.
