Taylor County Star, May 20, 1937:
Mr. William Monroe Pierce died at the home of his sister, Mrs. H.E. Skaggs, Wedensday May 12, 1937. He was a member of the Otter Creek Separate Baptist Church. Those surviving are his daughters, Mrs. Corderly Skaggs, Attilla Ky. Mrs Eddie Stillwell, Stephensburg Ky, Mrs. Henry Skaggs, Campbellsville Ky, Mrs. Julia Specht, Louisville Ky, Mrs. Lona Allen, Attilla Ky, and two sons : Robert Lee Pierce, Finley Ky, and Henry Pierce, Mac Ky. Funeral services were held at the Otter Creek Separate Baptist Church, Friday morning with the Rev. Charles Warren conducting the services.
The Nolynn Association of Separate Baptists met at Otter Creek Church, Aug. 1897.
The first pastor was Rev. S. Underwood,followed by Rev. J. B. Atwell.
First church clerk was J. F. Stillwell.
