Sarah Odell was the daughter of William Odell and Sarah Vowels Odell. She was born about 1665, probably in Rye, New York. She married John Archer between October 7, 1686 (date license issued), and December, 1686 (when marriage was cerrtified), location unknown, possibly New York City. Sarah and John had at least seven children. Sarah must have died before 1715, because in that year, John married Mary Fowler, daughter of Henry Fowler. Sarah is thought to be buried with her husband in the family plot on Tetard's Hill, Spuyten Duyvil, Bronx County, located on what once comprised the extensive grounds of the family estate, Fordham Manor.
