Dr Anthony Hart Harrigan, New York surgeon who has attended many local residents and who is well known to the medical profession here, died last night in Post Graduate Hospital, Manhattan. He was a son of the late Ned Harrigan of the famous vaudeville team of Harrigan and Hart. He was fifty years old and was named for Tony Hart, his father's partner.
He was graduated from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University in 1905, and studied later at the University of Berlin. On his return to the U.S. he established a practice in New York as a general surgeon.
His residence was at 103 E 86th Street, and his office at 115 East 61st street. Surviving are his wife, the former Elsie Hutson of Charleston, S.C., a son, Anthony Hart Harrigan Jr., and a daughter, Mary Elliot Harrigan; three brothers, William Harrigan, an actor, of New York; Nolan Harrigan, assistant vice president of the Irving Trust Company, and Philip B. Harrigan of Garden City, L.I., and two sisters, Mrs. William Ash of San Francisco and Mrs. Walter Connolly. Funeral Monday afternoon at the Church of the Heavenly Rest.
