Graveside services for David Wyatt Bowman, 55, of Lufkin, will be held Monday, April 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Muse Cemetery near Grapeland, Texas, with Brother Larry Hart officiating.

Mr. Bowman was born June 14, 1956 in Jacksonville, Texas to the late Dorothy Louise (Patton) and Knox Bowman. He died Thursday, April 5, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Bowman was retired and had lived in Lufkin for the past 16 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Nina Bowman of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Mandy and Glenn Preston Wells of Huntington; sons, Benjamin Knox Bowman and John David Bowman, both of Lufkin; five grandchildren, Josie, Creed, Nicole, Gracie and Casey; brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny and Lynda Bowman, John and Teresa Bowman, all of Diboll; sisters and brothers-in-law, Becky and Hugh Byrd of Maydelle, Seleta and Larry Hart of Crockett; aunt, Gladys Mettlen of Diboll; as well as several other aunts, uncles and family members.

Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Preston Wells, James Patton, Homer Patton, Archie Patton, Josh Burleson, Jerrod Kennedy, Roy Bowman, Joe Bowman and Jim Bowman.
