Nephew of area residents car crash victim
Richard H. Hodge Jr., 38, Belton, died Sunday at Truman Medical Center, Kansas City, of injuries received in a one-car accident.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Leavenworth National Cemetery Chapel. Burial was in Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Born Aug. 18, 1953, at Olathe, Kan., he was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church, Olathe.
Surviving are his wife Carmen Hodge, of the home; a son Eric Hodge and a daughter Teresa Hodge, both of the home; his parents Richard H. Hodge Sr. and Nira Hodge, Olathe; two brothers Jerome E. Hodge, Merriam, Kan., and Sgt. Jeffrey T. Hodge, U.S. Army, Fort Hood, Texas; two sisters Kathy Felkins, Gardner, Kan., and Carol Richey, Lane, Kan., and three daughters by a previous marriage Denice, Michelle and Jennifer, last names and addressess unknown.
He was a nephew of Kenneth Thompson, Carthage, and Virgil Hodge and Mrs. Russell Snyder, both of Reeds.
