Actor. Born C. Michael Hinn in Minnesota, he is best known for his roles as sheriffs, deputies, or cavalryman in both Western films and television programs, most notably that of 'Scout Luke Cummings,' in "Boots And Saddles" from 1957 to 1959. His other credits include the films, "The Halliday Brand" (1957), "Gun Fever" (1958), "The Devil's Messenger" (1961), "The Reivers" (1969), "Valdez Is Coming" (1971), "The Mechanic" (1972), and television shows, "Broken Arrow," "Law Of The Plainsman," "Johnny Ringo," "Frontier Justice," "Gunsmoke," "Bonanza," "Rawhide," "The Guns Of Will Sonnett," and "The Big Valley," among several others. He was also a veteran of both World War II, and the Korean War. He served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force and as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy. He also produced and directed the 1962 film, "Night Rider." Hinn passed away in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 74, and was buried in the Los Angeles National Cemetery. (bio by: K)
