Mr. Jewett was a life resident of Cortland. He retired as manager from Harford Milk Plant after 34 years.
He was a charter member of Harford Volunteer Fire Department, Cortland Moose Lodge 1512 and the Lively Oldies Senior Center, Harford.
His wife, Helen, died in 1980.
Surviving are three daughters, Mary Riley and Margaret Taylor, both of Cortland and Frances Mullen of Dryden; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one niece and one nephew.
Services are 11 a.m. today in St. Mary's Church, Cortland. Spring burial will be in Cortland Rural Cemetery.
There are no calling hours.
Contributions may be made to Harford Volunteer Fire Department or the Lively Oldies Senior Center, Harford.
