Lena Lydia was born May 18, 1923 in Phillipsburg, Missouri to Loran and Mabel (Prosser) Layman.
She attended school at Kindred School District #18 and the Hill Creek School District #36.
On January 6, 1942, she was united in marriage to Hans Ernest Jensen in Blair, Nebraska.
Lena enjoyed reading, flower gardening, raising chickens, collecting and trying new recipes, and spending time with her two German Shepherds.
Lena Lydia Jensen, 91, of Blair, Nebraska, died March 29, 2015 at Crowell Home in Blair.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Alberta Carlson Strom and brother Forest Layman.
Left to cherish her memory are her siblings: Juanita Pedergraft, Wilbur Layman and Florence Crowder; nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Burial will follow in the Blair Cemetery.
