Mary “Charlotte” (Vaughn) Timmons, age 82, of Canyon, Texas and formerly of Mangum, passed away Monday morning, March 30, 2015, at her residence, in Canyon.
Mary was born in Reed, Oklahoma on July 1, 1932, to Claud and Helen (Cochran) Vaughan. Growing up on the family farm between Reed and Mangum, Mary attended Mangum Schools. She married Billy Joe Brundige and they lived in Mangum, Dallas and Canyon before their divorce. Mary later married Charles Royce Timmons and they lived in Amarillo, Texas before moving back to Mangum, where they lived from 1985 until 2000 when they moved back to Amarillo. A home caregiver most of her life, Mary loved her family and caring for other people.
Preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Marshall Vaughan and her late husband, Charles Royce Timmons, she is survived by her first husband Billy Joe Brundige of Canyon, Texas; one son, Larry Brundige and wife Dottie of Amarillo, Texas; one daughter, Debra Williams and husband Will of Canyon, Texas and Bosque Farms, New Mexico; step children, Everett and Kathy Timmons of Borger, Texas, C.D. and Patti Timmons, Linda Timmons, Arelia Timmons all of Amarillo, Texas; nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren, plus her extended family, Christa Bustillos of Canyon, Texas and Bonnie Rummel of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Graveside services for Mary Timmons will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Roselawn Cemetery with Jerry Don Henry officiating. Services are under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
