Ellis -- Virginaia M. Wiesner, 86, died Monday, April 12, 1993 at St. Francis Medical Center, Wichita.

She was born July 5, 1906 in Russell to John and Katie (Rupp) Schmidt.

She married George A. Wiesner May 21, 1929 in Hays. He died Jan. 4, 1978.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and Christian Mothers, all of Ellis. She served as an eucharistic minister for the church.

Survivors include three sons, Donald, Westminister, Calif., Verlyn, Bloomington, Ill., and Norman, Arvada, Colo.; a daughter, Jeanette Kitchen, Hays; five sisters, Zelma VonFeldt, Harriet Wasinger and Ella Befort, all of Aurora, Colo., Alice Rohleder, San Bernadino, Calif., and Mary Adams, Riverside, Calif.; and 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Ellis, with Father John Wolseky and Father Paulinus Karlin officiating; burial in the church cemetery. A parish wake service is scheduled for 8 p.m. Thursday at Wasinger Funeral Chapel, Ellis. Visitation is from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home.
