Eileen V. Rennerfeldt passed away on March 27, 2015 at the Applewood Living Center. She was 85 years old.
Eileen was born on October 7, 1929 in Alamo, North Dakota to Andrew and Olga (Skaar) Smith.
On March 26, 1949 she married Nels Rennerfeldt. Together they moved to Longmont in 1976.
Eileen was a homemaker and member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She loved volunteering at the church and her grandchildren's elementary school. She enjoyed collecting photographs of movie stars, gardening, oil painting and was an avid reader. She was also a member of the Longmont Genealogy Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband Nels in 2008; her parents; her brother Charles Smith; her sister Florence Lohse; and her daughter-in-law Patty Rennerfeldt.
She is survived by her daughter Joan Rennerfeldt; her son Howard Rennerfeldt; her sister Helen Landis; her grandchildren Brian (Rachel) Zierlein and Renee (Lars) Boehnke; her great-grandchildren Gabriel and Nathanael Zierlein, and Myla and Bradley Boehnke.
A graveside inurnment will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday March 31, 2015 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver; followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM Tuesday March 31, 2015 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Longmont.
