Muncie – Faye Hennessee, 91, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Elmcroft Senior Living.

She was born in Delaware County on October 26, 1923, the daughter of Lloyd and Viretta (Ross) Rees. Faye graduated from Cowan High School in 1941.

She attended Shawnee Heights Baptist Church and was a former member of Ladies of the Moose. In 1991, she retired from The Party House after fourteen years.

If thinking of her doesn’t bring a smile to your face, you didn’t know her. Her sense of humor and wit entertained people for 91 years. She enjoyed playing euchre and was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds.

Survivors include one daughter, Rhonda Cassidy of Muncie; her son in-law, Danny Cassidy of Oakville; four grandchildren, Kimberly Hennessee-Sherman (husband, Ty) of Pendleton, Justin Cassidy (Amanda Miles) of Muncie, LeeAnn Cook of Florida and JoAnna Lynn (husband, Brent) of Muncie; seven great-grandchildren, Ben Sherman (fiancé, Caitlin Burden) and Sam Sherman, both of Pendleton, Wyatt and Annie Lynn, both of Muncie; Zachary, Logan and Ava Panacek, all of Florida; one brother-in-law, Earl Flowers of Muncie; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of more than fifty years, Leslie Hennessee on February 3, 1994; one son, Rodney Hennessee on March 4, 2006; one sister, Isabell Hays and one brother, Raymond Rees.

Private graveside services will be held.
