Mrs. Adkins lived in Ansted for 60 years, was of the Baptist faith, and was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her husband; Harmon W. Adkins, a daughter; Patsy Blair, and three sons; Harmon Lee, Albert Rondal and Benjamin F. Adkins.
Survivors include; two daughters, Mrs. Novella Johnson of Quinwood and Mrs. Frances Rose of Ansted, five sons; Shirley D. Adkins of Ansted, Billy Joe Adkins of Machals, Maine, Virgil D. Adkins of Fayetteville, Danny L. Adkins of Tampa, Florida, and Jeff A. Adkins of Ansted, 20 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Restlawn Memory Gardens in Victor with the Rev. Freddie Parkin officiating. Friends may call from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home Chapel in Ansted.
