Illustrator. He was born near of Rimini (Italy). He began his career in the magazine Albo Uragano with characters such as Ray e Roy, Aprile e Il Fantasma and later, Sargent Kirk. But he is fondly remembered for his character Corto Maltese, that triumphed around the world. He died in Pully, near Lausanne, Switzerland.
