PERSONAL HISTORY: Ms.Willson was fifth generation and a life long resident of Cleveland County. Her parents were the late Mark Quinn and Mary Etta Price Hamrick. Her ancestor, the Rev. Daniel Button, was the founding minister of Central United Methodist Church where she attended throughout her life. After graduating from Mars Hill College, she worked in the office of Bost Bakery for 33 years. In her retirement, because of her interest in her family history, she became an expert research genealogist. She was an active member of the Broad River Genealogical Society. In collaboration with fellow researchers and cousins, Wilda Haskell and Joe Gold, she provided genealogical material which resulted in Mr. Gold publishing two books of family genealogy. She will be buried in the original section of Sunset Cemetery along side the ancestors which she revered, cataloged and remembered. The accuracy and depth of her genealogical information will allow many future generations to learn about their families.
