Luther Nace Sr., 80, Latrobe died Monday Nov. 28, 1994, in Latrobe Area Hospital. Born Nov. 15, 1914, in Latrobe. A son of the late George and Anne (Moore) Nace. histirement, he was employed by the Turkeyfoot Valley School District, Somerset County. He was a veteran of W.W.II, serfing with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Massachusetts in the South Pacific. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Katheryn (Stiffey) Nace; four sisters: Margaret Reintgen, Lucy Herrod, Susan Braden and Roselia Bursch; four brothers: Clarence, Robert, Emmett, and Joseph Jr.,survived by his wife, Helen A. (Richards) Nance; three sons: Luther Nance Jr.., Edward and Leroy Nace, all of Confluence; three daughters: Mrs. Marvin (Catherine) Eissinger of Monrovia, California; Mrs.. Raymond (Harriet) Singer of Indianapolis, Ind., and Judy Newlin of Poland, Indiana; two step-daughters, Cheryl Waters of Latrobe and Mrs. Daniel (Denise) McClintock of Confluence, and two brothers, George Nace of Derry and John Nace of Ligonier. Also 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Harman-Graziano Funeral Home Inc., 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev Charles Carl co-officiating. Interment will follow in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
