Born on a farm north of Grand Island. She grew up there and lived all her life there until failing health forced her into long-term care in the Howard County Community Hospital. She attended District 15 school and during her active years worked on the family farm taking care of her parents and brothers.
Survived by one sister, Alice Dankert of Cairo. Preceded in death by three brothers, Henry, William and Fred; three sisters, Louise Hongsermeier, Clara Knefelkamp and Emma Horst; and an infant brother, Richard.
