Norman Edsel Amy, 78, of Warren, formerly a longtime resident of Roseville, died Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born June 30, 1927, in Warren.
Mr. Amy served in the U.S. Air Force. He married Betty Koeppen on July 25, 1952, and the couple resided in Roseville where they raised their three children. He was a pilot and aircraft mechanic for the U.S. Government for 25 years, retiring in 1982.

He later married Rachel Amy on Oct. 24, 1996, and the couple resided in Warren. He enjoyed hunting, marksman competition and video making

"Above all, he was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by the many he has touched in his lifetime," relatives said.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel; children, Douglas, Dale (Jennifer) and Lynne (Bob) Pichi; grandchildren, Galen, Kira, Caitlin and Jessica; sisters, Claudine Beutel, Maxine Koeppen and Bonnie Haberl; and six stepchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Betty, on Sept. 3, 1974; brother, Robert; and parents, Claude B. and Frona Muriel (nee Haun) Amy.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica, Fraser. Burial will follow in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township.
