Mr. and Mrs. Ed Duffey, of Monticello, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bell of Logansport were here Monday for the funeral of George Burkett.
By request of George Burkett made before he died. Dr. McCully made a postmortem examination and found nearly all of the abdominal organs attacked by a maliquant abdominal tumor. Drs. Galbreth of Rockfield, McAllister of idaville. Reed and McBeth
of Monticello and Jones of Burnettsville, were present at the examination. George Burkett died at his home Sunday morning, after an illness of several months, aged 73 years. Funeral services were conducted at the house by Rev. Frost on Monday afternoon.
Interment in the Davis cemetery. He leaves a wife and eight children.
