He was the son of Harry A. and Caroline Huber Begraft. He married Charlotte Holley September 2nd 1939. They had five children: Charlotte Anne, Barbara, Brenda, William and Mary Elizabeth. He was a heavy equipment operator at Picatinny Arsenal. He never remarried after Charlotte died. He loved his sweets. He enjoyed traveling and camping. He passed away due to the effects of a form of Scleraderma. He is very much missed.
