She was preceded in death by her husband, Hosea Smith; her parents; five brothers, Roy, John, Kenneth, Clifford, and Eugene Carey; and two sisters, Goldie Pitts and Velta Carmichel.
Survivors include: daughter Joyce Gray and husband, Junior; brother, Charles Carey; two granddaughters, Charlotte Parton and Wayne Moody; and Angela Gray; one great grandson, Chris Parton and wife, Amanda; and one great-great grandson, Ryan Parton.
Burial in Blue Eye Cemetery, Blue Eye, MO.
