Master Sgt Lincoln Ward Ellis, age 87, of Maryville, passed away February 26, 2015. He was born May 7, 1927 in Chestnut Hill, TN, retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving in World War II, Korean and Vietnam from 1945 to 1968 and retired from J.C. Penny from 1968 to 1989. He was a member of Madison Ave Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Louise Cook Ellis; mother and father, Joe and Daisy Ellis; brother, Ted Ellis and son and daughter in law, J. Harold and Doris Ellis. Survivors include his daughters and sons in law, Shirley and Bo Henderson; Marjorie and Earl McKean, Gail and Gary Stokes; sons, Daniel and Donald Ellis all of Blount County; grandchildren, Michael, Randy, J. Harold Jr., James and Lisa Ellis, Kerri Trejo all of San Antonio, Texas area; Jimbo Henderson of Atlanta, GA, David Henderson, Wendy Rogers and Matthew Pickens all of Maryville, Johanna Miller of Loudon; Roger McKean; 23 great grandkids and 6 great great grandkids; sister in law, Violet Ellis; nephews, Lynn and Darrell Ellis all of Chestnut Hill, TN. Funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2014 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Dr. Glenn Cummings officiating. Graveside service and interment 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
