Candida O. Edwards, 85, of Prescott, Ariz., passed away on April 11, 2008, at Mountain View Manor. She was born Dec. 6, 1922, in Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico.
She was the most devoted mother and grandmother that anyone could ask for. She will be greatly missed. She came to the United States in 1953, raised her children and worked for the Pioneer Home for 14 years.
Candida was preceded in death by her husband Arnold and her mother Dolores Luna.
She is survived by her daughter Maria and her husband Ron Ketner of Prescott, Ariz.; daughter Betty and her husband Jess Romo of Dartmouth, Mass.; son Arnold Edwards of Prescott, Ariz.; eight grandchildren, Dolores Duran, Ralph Duran, Karen Travers, Candy Ross, Reuben Romo, Arnie Edwards, Charles Edwards and Connie Edwards; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial of her life will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2008, at Sacred Heart Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 Grove Ave., Prescott, AZ 86301.
