James Shiloh Pierce...Son of Leander Pearce(James changed spelling) and Lydia A. Orme. Leander from Rhea Co, Tennessee. James' mother died not long after his birth and father remarried. James married Laura Irene DeFee in Hunt County, Texas, on 30 Sept. 1879. Know that they had three
daughters and two sons. They later moved to Stephens County, Texas from Hunt Co, Texas. James and wife are both buried in Breckenridge Cemetery...A son, Ed Pierce and his wife Nell are also buried here.
Laura Irene Pierce nee DeFee was a daughter of my Great Grandparents, Green Pinkham DeFee and Margaret Anna DeFee nee Carr.
One daughter, Minnie Lee Houston nee Pierce, is buried in Necessity Cemetery, Stephens Co,TX....Daughter Annie Mae Andrews nee Pierce is buried here in Breckenridge. Another
son, James Oscar Pierce is also buried here.
