Writing for the Stratemeyer Syndicate, the book publishing firm founded by her father, she contributed stories in the "Nancy Drew" series under the firm's blanket pseudonym 'Carolyn Keene'. She also contributed stories in the "Hardy Boys" and "Bobbsey Twins" adventure and mysterious series, using the pseudonyms 'Franklin W. Dixon' and 'Laura Lee Hope'. Her works included "The Secret Of The Old Clock" (1930), "The Bobbsey Twins In Echo Valley" (1943), "The Bobbsey Twins At Sugar Maple Hill" (1946), "The Bobbsey Twins In Tulip Land" (1949), "The Bobbsey Twins At Whitesail Harbor" (1952), and "The Bobbsey Twins At Big Bear Pond" (1953).
